SPRING IS HERE??

Well normally I write a blog at springtime announcing all the bugs that have come to life and what is out and about. However, as we all know here in the Midwest this is a winter to remember. Climate change or ocean current cycles, whatever it is winter has not let go of its grip just yet. All I can say in this regard is at least its raining and not snowing. To say the least this is going to be a strange summer in regards to the timing and emergence of wildlife.

With that said, the weather was great this past weekend and I did manage to have a pretty interesting walk through some local trails….. AND here is what I saw:

This is the pond I’m sure I’ll be spending A LOT of time in this summer.

AND as the trek continued…. well you never know what you’ll find and as I said, it’s been a harsh winter.

As I said this is an odd spring and things are not as usual.  I’ve seen butterflies weeks ago and it has snowed several times since.

Stay tuned here for my next blog.  There are some HUGE changes coming to the Creepy Crawly Zoo and they are VERY exciting!
